This is a great product. Have been looking at them for a while, including in a couple of dive shops... As for the review that says not recommended for the ocean because the chrome will attack barracuda, well... that person is just plain uninformed. In the past century there has only been one (yes, that's one) barracuda attack on a person attributable to anything shiny... and that was in murky water.This is a great mask at a great price!I was so excited to order this mask and did a ton of research before committing. I'm a novice diver, with about 20 dives under my belt, but just moved to a scuba dream site and so, wanted to invest in a quality mask. I saw some comments about a broken buckle system on other review sites, but it didn't seem frequent and the pros far outweighed what I saw as a small risk. I used this mask 2 times; once in the ocean water on a dive and once in a swimming pool. Yesterday, when I pulled out the mask, which has been stored safely in its case, the buckle piece snapped and broke at just a touch. I spent $70 on this mask, used it twice and now it's wasted. Thank goodness I wasn't underwater when this happened. I bought this a few months back even though I just started using it and now I can't return it. I'm so disappointed and frankly scared to use Mares products again. Don't buy this mask.GreatPerfect for the lake or river dives, so not suggest the chrome finish for the ocean regarding barracuda.
